Tips, Hints, Terms, Conditions, and things that are good to know.
In
this list of terms and conditions we are talking about a ‘garment’
- a piece of clothes that is being created; ‘Pants Magic’
dressmaking studio’ or ‘we’; and ‘you’ - is our best
favourite beloved customer.
Placing
an Order
To
place an order you need:
-measures
-fabric
-model
Model
If
you dream about a fantastic dress from the magazine or internet photo
- just bring it to us. If you imagine the ideal blouse or trousers
for you but can't find it in the stores - call us and make the
appointment.
If
you are not sure whether the particular dress, model or colour will
go with you - contact us, and we will be happy to help you.
We
will discuss the perfect model to flatter your shape, express your
personality and meet your special needs and desires.
Measures
Any
garment that Pants Magic creates, is made with your individual
measures. ‘I wear size 10’ or ‘My waist is 15 inches, I know
for sure’ doesn’t work. You can be measured only in person, and
by a qualified sewist from Pants Magic studio. We can’t use
measures taken by anybody else because they are different in other
pattern making systems.
Measures
usually take from 5 to 10 minutes. Just relax. You don’t have to
stand very straight, we need your normal posture.
If
you are a wheel-chair user, - most of measures are taken in your
sitting position.
What
to wear
The
less clothes you have on you, the more precisely you can be measured.
Ideally there is only underwear, but leggings, and skintight top are
also welcome.
Bra
If
you are a lady, you should put on the same bra you are going to wear
with the garment. Or the most common for you, if you have different
models.
If
the garment is a pair of trousers, or a skirt - bra does not matter.
If
you are going to wear the garment without a bra - you don’t have to
wear it for measures, but it is highly recommended to have a bustiers
or short top on.
If
the garment is an over-bust corsetry, bra is a must.
Footwear
For
any garment (trousers or top) we ask you to bring the heels you
usually wear. It is important for tops too because heels affect your
posture and therefore - the balance of the garment.
Fabric
You
can choose fabric from our stock or buy it yourself. Your sewing
master will advise you where you can buy it, what blend and quality
you need, how much fabric do you need for your garment and give you a
sample.
Length
of fabric is important. We need enough fabric for some possible
changes in the design, you will be advised how much you need.
For some reason sales assistants in the fabric stores often advise
people to buy less than it is needed. Please don’t listen to them!
Choosing
perfect fabric is fun, but if don’t feel confident, you can order a
shopping-assistance.
Please
note that fabric must suit the model, and in some cases - your shape.
If you love the colour and quality of the fabric, but it is too
thin/too thick for the model you chose - we must make some changes in
the design. Otherwise we might not be able to use the fabric.
Please
note, that we can refuse to take your order if we are not sure
that model or fabric will suit you, because we GUARANTEE our work.

Pricing
and Payment
Cost
of every garment is calculated individually though for your
convenience we have a price-list with the examples of
particular models. Depending on the model we can offer a few price
options for the same model. With slight changes in the design we can
make the garment higher or lower priced. Please don’t hesitate to
discuss it with us. Please note that different options are not
always possible.
There
is the price for making the garment and extra price for additional
haberdashery, such as zips, buttons, interlacing etc. For
example, $150 for sewing + $10 extra. We buy everything that is
needed for your garment - that is sewing threads, interlacing, corset
boning etc.
Payment
order
We
ask either to make 50% pre-pay on placing the order or on the fitting
session; and to pay the other 50% - when your garment is ready-to-go.
Cash and direct deposit are accepted.
Fittings.
Don’t be scared with them!
We
try on unfinished garment, and this is called fitting sessions. We
make them to:
-
notice and fix all the nuances that are not perfect
-
get clear the idea of the garment we make. If we and you understand it differently, on the fitting we can get and fix it.
Number
of fitting sessions is worked out on placing the order. Usually there
is one fitting session for basic garment and two for a very
creative one. Extra Toil fitting is possible if you are a new
customer for us, or if we are creating a very complicated model. For
toil fitting we use our working fabric and try our ideas in it, not
fashion fabric for your garment.
If
you don’t like anything in your garment on the fitting, don’t
hesitate to tell us about it.
Collecting
your order.
This
is the most pleasant part, when you finally can see and touch the
result of your creative work, hopes and desires.
Usually
we state the date of collecting on placing your order or on fitting
session. Anyway you will be informed by text/email/Facebook message.
Please let us know which means of informing you prefer, because it
will be your responsibility to collect your order in time.

Guarantees!
Pants
Magic guarantees that:

the garment sewn for you will fit your shape and character in the best way;
-
the garment sewn for you will be comfortable and elegant;
-
the garment sewn for you will be completely unique (if not stated different).
What
that does mean:
-
We make every possible effort to meet all your special needs and desires
-
If you are not happy with your garment after you collected it, you are very welcome to apply for free changes/alterations. If you start wearing your new trousers or dress and realise that you really want it shorter/longer/taken in/taken out etc. - don’t hesitate to come back and discuss the ways to improve it.

You are entitled for one free alterations session during 30 days after your garment is Ready-to-go, e.g. from the date you were informed that your order was completed and you can collect it.

If you came to collect your ready-to-go garment and you don’t like it, we discuss the reasons why it is no good, and do our best to make it meet your expectations. If nothing can be done to improve the garment, we either refund the money payed to us, and also spent on fabric and other sewing needs, or offer you a discount to our further sewing and alteration services; and apologise for your waste of time.

In case of refund you may lose the opportunity to use our services in the future. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Please note, that we can refuse to take your order if we are not sure that model or fabric will suit you due to our guarantee policy.

Please understand, that returns are not accepted, because every garment we make is sewn uniquely for you and using your measurements.
Changed
your mind? It is OK!
Our
main values are our happy customers. We understand that sometimes
people can change their mind after placing an order. Though these
situations are not convenient for anybody, so we kindly ask to think
carefully before ordering a garment. You are very welcome to
discuss and describe your dream dress or trousers when placing the
order, so we can get clear vision of it.
If
you ordered a garment and changed your mind, it is essential to let
us know as soon as possible. We really don’t want to sew unwanted
clothes.
If
you informed us, that you didn’t need this garment any more, before
we started working on it, we are able to simply cancel your order. In
this case you have to collect the fabric and other sewing materials
you have bought. Fabrics and other sewing stuff, not collected within
three months from the date of placing the order, are considered to be
the property of Pants Magic studio, and you are not able to apply for
any refund in future.
If
you changed your mind at the stage of fittings (you just don’t like
the garment; or you thought it would be something completely
different; or you just don’t need this garment any more), please
discuss the situation with us. Usually about one half of the work is
done by the fittings. If you cancel your order at this time, you have
to pay 50% of the price. Without this payment you won’t be able to
use our sewing services in future.
Please
remember, that on fittings we usually can do great changes to the
garment and sew it in a different way to make you happy with it.
If
you decided not to continue somewhere before the fitting, we will let
you know how much has been done, and what sum we expect you to pay
us. Sometimes we can use your unfinished garment for our another
project; in this case you don’t have to pay us anything.
If
you got any doubts whether model would suit you, please let us know
so we can stop working on it until catching up with you and clearing
all the nuances.
Customer
Responsibilities: not showing up.
It
is essential that you let us know if you can’t attend fittings or
collecting your order sessions as soon as possible. If you don’t
show up on the fittings or don’t notify us at least one business
day in advance, you may lose the priority of your order, and it will
take much more time. In this case we don’t guarantee by what time
it will be completed.
Please
bear in mind, that it is your responsibility to collect your order in
time. You are very welcome to discuss with us ways of collecting or
delivery options. Orders, which are not collected within three months
from Ready-to-go date are considered to be the property of Pants
Magic studio, whether they have been paid for or not. These garments
will be used in our future projects or donated to charity. Any refund
is not applicable even if the order has been paid in full.
