About Myself

Real clothes goes with one's shape, colour type and character.

I am a seamstress. It is my profession. I made my first garment - red silk blouse - at the age of 17 and to date I have got 20 years of continuous sewing. At first it was a hobby and meant to express my own personality, as I created clothes only for myself.

Once I decided to make custom sewing my job and obtained a seamstress diploma by professional course. I learned and practised a lot and soon felt I was skilful enough to offer my services to others. Soon I realised that my best and strongest side was... custom-made trousers. I studied different methods of pattern-making for pants and finally created  my own which I am very proud to practice now.

I am a stylist. Personal styling is a highly important part of creating clothes. Colour and shape analysis are preliminary things to understand what to sew. Every figure has its beauty and its own features, but sometimes it is impossible to find store garments that will suit its peculiarity. To work out your personal style, to express your sharp individuality, to combine classic and trendy items properly, - shopping is not enough and custom sewing is not enough (I must say), but working together they can make a great image.

I am a philosopher. Seriously, I graduated from the State University of St.Petersburg, Russia, Philosophy of Science department. I believe I would never become a professional stylist without this experience. It helps me to catch and understand the flowing fashion trends and apply their influence to particular people. Real clothes goes with a character above shape, colour type etc. A garment will have great aesthetic appeal if it meets it's owner temperament, mind, sense of humour, corresponds with memories and feelings.

So now I am doing it together: create perfect style for my clients, which consists of colour analysis, stylebook, and much more, and even some custom-sewn garments. And it starts usually with a perfect pair of pants.
